Toni Payne has said the Super Falcons would not be fazed by the home crowd expected to storm the over 50,000 Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria for Tuesday’s Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers against South Africa.
Banyana Banyana will host the Falcons in the second leg of the qualifiers with the winner picking the ticket for this year’s Olympics.
The Falcons will go into the clash with a 1-0 first leg advantage.
Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, Payne believes the Falcons have faced tougher home crowd which did not affect them.
“We are feeling really prepared we had the whole day to rest so the team is feeling really good,” she said on NFF TV.
“Coming off the win in the last game we have a lot of confidence and there will be improvements.
“I think it’s something to keep in mind obviously when you are away and when you have the crowd against you, it’s something difficult but we’ve come against worst odds we are ready to battle them.”

She added:”It’s been a dream of mine to be at the Olympics and hopefully we can get the ticket.”
The winner between the Falcons and South Africa will go straight into Group C in the women’s football event at the 2024 Olympics.
Other teams in Group C are reigning women’s World Cup champions Spain, former World Cup winner Japan and Brazil.
Meanwhile, Morocco and Zambia would battle for the second ticket for the games.
The Moroccans hold a 2-1 first leg advantage which they secured away.
