De Zerbi hopes to manage a Premier League club again after Brighton exit

Manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed his desire to return to the top flight of English football after leaving Brighton.

Following Brighton’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, the Italian coach revealed his hopes for the future. De Zerbi joined Brighton in September 2022, taking over from Graham Potter.

During his tenure, the 44-year-old achieved remarkable success, leading the club to their highest-ever Premier League finish of sixth place and securing their first-ever qualification for European competition.

Reflecting on his time at Brighton, De Zerbi described it as a challenging yet significant experience in his life. When asked about potential job opportunities, he admitted that no club had made any offers at the moment.

However, he expressed his aspiration to work in the Premier League again, although he was uncertain about the specifics of when and where.

De Zerbi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work in the Premier League, emphasizing the honor it was to get to know the club, the city, and the passionate fans. Brighton concluded the season in 11th place in the league and reached the round of 16 in the Europa League.
