Nigeria’s sports minister, John Enoh has described Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen as a real trojan for the team.

He made this known on the backdrop of his social media rant against former Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, which led to calls for Osimhen’s punishment.

However, in a chat with Eagle7 FM Radio, Enoh stated that he has told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to make a pronouncement on this before they have engaged Osimhen.

“There has been a plethora of opinions on this,” he said on Eagle7 FM Radio.

“Osimhen is a Trojan for Nigeria, but it was a low.

“I told the NFF not to make a pronouncement on this before they have engaged Osimhen.

“This is so especially because these are not the best of times for Nigeria football and we have to manage a lot of things.

“The NFF have to be focused and not be distracted.”
