West Ham United have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, reports have revealed.

The 26-year-old is in the final year of his contract and was made available for transfer earlier this summer as United boss Erik ten Hag eyed a reunion with Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.

A bid worth €20m (£17.2m) for Mazraoui was accepted by Bayern on Saturday as part of talks which also saw an agreement reached for centre-back Matthijs de Ligt to move to Old Trafford for €50m (£42.9m), but the move hinged on United’s ability to sell Wan-Bissaka first.

Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that all the details of a move to West Ham for Wan-Bissaka have now been agreed, paving the way for Mazraoui’s arrival from Bayern.

Wan-Bissaka is set to undergo a medical with West Ham on Sunday ahead of inking his move to the London Stadium.

Unsurprisingly, Wan-Bissaka was left out of the United squad for Saturday’s Community Shield clash with Manchester City.

Ten Hag opted to start Diogo Dalot on the right of his defence, where significant injuries have left him unable to name a single natural defender on his bench for the game.

The imminent arrival of Mazraoui, who can also play as a left-back, will go a long way to helping a United side who remain without both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, the latter of whom is still several months away from being able to return from a knee injury which kept him out of the entirety of last season.

As for West Ham, Wan-Bissaka is set to become the eighth signing of an increasingly impressive summer transfer window.

The Hammers recently confirmed the arrival of centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, joining Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, Luis Guilherme, Guido Rodriguez and Wes Foderingham in making the switch this summer.
