Manchester United will consider a move for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze during the summer 2025 transfer window, a report has claimed.
The Red Devils are on the lookout for wide players having sanctioned the exit of Jadon Sancho to Chelsea on deadline day. Though the deal is an initial loan, it will become permanent so long as the Blues finish in the Premier League’s top 14 this season.
The Manchester Evening News write that Eze is on the shortlist of United’s transfer committee, who are readying plans to strengthen all over the pitch next summer.
Eze’s Palace contract includes a £68m release clause and he has been heavily linked with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the recent past.
Now an established member of the England setup, Eze remained at Palace for this season in spite of this interest. Palace chairman Steve Parish has spoken of his astonishment that the club were able to keep hold of him.

“I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs in the same window and we didn’t have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have,” Parish told Sky Sports News last week.
“I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy’s just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.”
In addition to Eze, the Manchester Evening News add that Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite remains a target for United.
Branthwaite was the subject of two bids from United this summer, with the second worth £50m, but Everton’s valuation of at least £70m proved off-putting. United instead turned their attentions to Lille’s Leny Yoro and Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.
