It’s set to be another exciting weekend in the Women’s Super League (WSL) as Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday.
After a mixed start to the season for the Gunners under former manager Jonas Eidevall, they are unbeaten in five games under interim manager Renee Slegers. Arsenal have elevated themselves to fourth in the league standings, but they remain seven points off top spot.
Spurs, on the other hand, are seventh in the table after seven games having won two, drawn one and lost four. Robert Vilahamn’s side are five points off the top five as things stand, but just four points from safety at the other end of the table.
90min brings you a full preview of Saturday’s North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…

Hayley Raso and Amy James-Turner both returned to the squad for last weekend’s defeat to Manchester City following spells on the sidelines through injury. Both came on as second half substitutes as the Lilywhites fell to a 4-0 defeat away from home.
Maite Oroz is still recovering from a quad injury sustained back in October and the 26-year-old missed their last match against City. Kit Graham is still recovering from the ACL injury she suffered back in September and will miss the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

Mariona Caldentey is available again after she missed last week’s WSL game against Brighton / Alex Livesey/GettyImages
Mariona Caldentey was a doubt for Arsenal’s midweek Champions League clash against Juventus after she missed their WSL meeting with Brighton last week. However, the Spain international was back in the squad and back on the scoresheet in the 4-0 triumph on Tuesday night.
Lotte Wubben-Moy and Laura Wienroither also travelled with the squad to Italy and were unused substitutes against Juventus. Goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar came into the starting lineup ahead of Manuela Zinsberger, so it will be interesting to see who Renee Slegers turns to on Saturday against Spurs.

After a difficult start to the season for Arsenal, a change in the dugout has sparked a new lease of life within the squad. The Gunners are unbeaten in their five games under interim manager Slegers so far, and they will hope to make it six on Saturday.
For Spurs, they have struggled against the top teams this season with defeats against Man City, Man United and Chelsea. Vilahamn’s side will have to be at the top of their game to take points off Arsenal in their current form, and recent performances suggest they will struggle to do so.
Prediction: Tottenham 1-3 Arsenal
