Saka opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute to silence the home supporters before Kai Haverz extended the Gunners lead to 2-0 in the 62nd minute.

Leandro Trossard took the game Beyond Brighton’s reach when he scored in the 86th minute thanks to a brilliant assist from th Germany international.

This well-deserved victory leaves Arsenal one point clear of Liverpool and Man City at the top, but they will be dislodged if Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
