Former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar believes Arsenal still have a chance of winning the Premier League title despite their disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Gunners lost 2-0 to Unai Emery’s side at the Emirates Stadium, a result which dented their title aspiration.

Goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins condemned the North London side to their first Premie League loss since New Year’s Eve.

It also means that Manchester City will lift the Premier League title for the fifth time in six seasons if they win their final six matches.

Atiku has however backed Arsenal to bounce back from the defeat and fight for the title until the end of the season.

“Not the result we expected from Arsenal. But we move; it’s not over until it is over,” Atiku, who is a staunch Arsenal supporter wrote on X.

Arsenal now face a defining week as they travel to Bayer Munich on Wednesday with their Champions League quarter-final tie poised at 2-2 before a difficult trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
