Burkina Faso moved to the summit in Group B at the WAFU B U-17 Championship following a 2-0 victory over Togo at the University Stadium on Sunday.

The win put pressure on holders Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, who will square up with Niger Republic in group’s other fixture also on Sunday.

The Burkinabes scored twice in the second half of the encounter.

Burkina Faso top the standings with four points from two games.

The young Etalons held the Golden Eaglets to a 0-0 draw in their opening fixture last Friday.

Togo have already been eliminated from the competition with zero point from two games.

They lost their first game 3-2 against Niger Republic.
