Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns stars Ronwen Williams, Grant Kekana and Teboho Mokoena have been nominated for the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) awards.

AFCON 2023 best goalkeeper Williams, was nominated in three categories while Kekana and Mokoena were each shortlisted in one category.

Williams was shortlisted in Goalkeeper of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and Player of the Season categories.

Kekana was shortlisted for Defender of the Season while Mokoena will slug it out in the Player of the Season spot.

The trio helped Mamelodi Sundowns clinch the 2023/24 PSL title this season, which is the club’s seventh in a row.

They were included in Bafana Bafana’s provisional squad for next month’s Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Uyo.

While Bafana Bafana are second in the group on three points (one win, one defeat), the Super Eagles are third on two points.

Also, the three players played a huge role as Bafana Bafana reached the semi-finals of the AFCON 2023 where they finished third.
